The early morning revealed that the track department had removed the old track and ballast and was now ready to start placing the new panels. |

| The only part of Track 2 replaced was the switch to Track 1 just south of Broad Street. Track 2 was removed south of that point down to the Stony Creek Branch switch. |

| The new panels were assembled on the right of way of the old freight station track. |
 |
| Some of the old track was lifted as panels to be disassembled later. |
