SEPTA Dale Interlocking Project Lansdale PA April 16 2007 |
Part Twenty One of an ongoing series. Part One is here, Part Two is here, Part Three is here, Part Four is here, Part Five is here, Part Six is here, Part Seven is here, Part Eight is here, Part Nine is here, Part Ten is here, Part Eleven is here, Part Twelve is here, Part Thirteen is here, Part Fourteen is here, Part Fifteen is here, Part Sixteen is here, Part Seventeen is here, Part Eighteen is here, Part Nineteen is here, Part Twenty is here. |
After a sunny Saturday and a rainy Sunday, a snowy Monday seemed almost fitting as the first stage of the project wound down. The rails are in place and ready to be put back in service, all they need is a smooth road surface before Main Street can be reopened. |
In the middle of a snow shower, a dump truck deposits hot asphalt on the street .... |
and it is immediately scooped up by the Bobcat which dumps it in the holes ..... |
where it is spread out by hand .... |
before being compacted by the roller. |
