Even as we near the 20th anniversary since the MoPac's merger with UP, there's still rolling stock across this country that's escaped time in it's original MoPac paint - but these are becoming harder and harder to find. Union Pacific has renewed it's efforts to repaint all rolling stock into it's own colors with it's growing number of mergers. The bluebird motive power was first to go, long ago. A longtime hold-out, MoPac cabooses are popping-up today in yellow paint. The mighty fleets of old Chicago & North Western, Southern Pacific, Rio Grande, the Katy, Western Pacific and the Missouri Pacific freight cars are on the endangered list.
