Though they are not a railcar to themselves, the MoPac trailer was an integral part of TOFC service. The Missouri Pacific accumulated an enormous and varied trailer fleet, being a pioneer in trailer and container use on the rails. The common site of these old cargo carriers still seen dispersed thoughout the system's territory, bear as a witness to their importance on the MoPac. Today these trailers are now relegated to use as sheds or M.ofW. duties. |
