"48" Class
The "48" Class locomotive, road numbers 4801 - 48165, are ex-New South Wales Department of Railways, now owned by various companies. Built by AE Goodwin, Auburn between 1959 and 1970, the power of these units is 1050hp. These locomotives were mainly used for branchline work in New South Wales but were also occasionally seen on some interstate standard gauge trains. More Information.
