BNSF and the City of Longmont will be closing two of their at-grade crossings by 2025.


Amtrak's ALC-42s Have a Rough Start

Amtrak has put it's new ALC-42s on the Empire Builder. They have gone through a lot of issues in the first couple days of being in service. The first ALC-42s will likely be put on the California Zephyr and ran through Colorado later this year.


Louisville and Westminster to Become Quiet Zones

Two cities along the BNSF Front Range Subdivision, Louisville and Westminster, are becoming quiet zones, which means train crews are not required to sound their horn regularly.


UP Manifest Hits Pedestrian in Southern Denver Caught on Camera

On November 13th, 2021, a pedestrian was hit by a northbound UP MPUNY train at the Kalamath & Bayaud crossing. The pedestrian was injured, but is likely to survive.
