SEPTA Neshaminy and Main Lines Jenkintown PA October 23 2005 |
It's slippery rail season, and SEPTA is waging an all out war on leaves. SEPTA SW1200 52 is hooked up to the scrubber and can be found on the Chestnut Hill East Branch in the afternoon. For its nocturnal gel trains, SEPTA RL1A 60 is running around with F7 622 and RL1A 61 is coupled to FA 615. SEPTA BL15 50 is temporarily sidelined due to a problem with the reverser, so SEPTA, being a little short on diesels, has leased West Chester Railroad's RS18 1803 to work the wire train on the Neshaminy Line. Meanwhile SEPTA BL15 51 is pulling the railwasher, waiting here at Jenkintown for a couple of northbounds to pass before heading up to Lansdale. |

After pulling down to Jenkin Tower, they reversed up the Main Line following an R5 Local. |
Interesting that it was one year to the day when I last saw the railwasher. |
