Gravers Station SEPTA Chestnut Hill East Line November 26 2004 |
The former Reading Chestnut Hill East Line may not be surrounded by chestnut trees, but the other trees make up the difference when it comes to dropping leaves along the tracks ........ |
....... and what appears to be a light engine move heading toward the Hill ....... |
..... is actually SEPTA SW1200 52 pulling the rail scrubber up to CP Spring (between Gravers and the terminus at Chestnut Hill) before reversing back to Wayne Junction. |
A close-up of the scrubber on the return trip. As you can see by the shadows, it will probably be working for at least the next week or so on the Chestnut Hill East. |
SEPTA 52's sisters, 50 and 51, are now both designated BL-15 after their rebuilding at Brookville Equipment Corporation. From the paint, looks like 52 is also due for an overhaul. |
