SEPTA West Trenton Line (aka CSX Trenton Line) Yardley PA September 22 2004 |
After a brief hiatus, SEPTA's wire train is back to working daily on Track 2 between Wood and Trent. For a change of pace from last year (pictures here, here and here), it had a rebuilt and seemlingly freshly painted RL1A 61 for power. |
Since SEPTA 60 is still evidently just an RL1, the new RL1A designation for 61 would make both units unique (the now defunct Republic Locomotive Works only built two RL1's and both went to SEPTA). That is until 60 gets shipped off to Brookville for its turn at rebuilding. |
The wire train also a new camp car, a former NJT Jersey Arrow MU numbered 601, which replaces the former Reading and SEPTA Blueliner 9125. 9125 is now at Wayne Electric Shop awaiting disposition. Anybody want to buy a camp car? |
Here you can easily see the family resemblance with Silverliner IV 393. |
