"GL" Class
The "GL" Class locomotive, road numbers 101-112, are ex-State Rail (NSW) rebuilt "442" class locomotives, now owned by Rail First Asset Management (formally CFCL Australia) and leased to various operators. The power of these units is 3300hp. Under CFCL Australia ownership each locomotive was named after a racehorse. More Information.
GL102, previously 44216, features "Rail First Asset Management's" 'blue, grey and yellow' livery. Last sighted 28th February 2025 Up Freight trailing ACD6058, leading G533, a crew car, 32 container flat/wells and 9 empty well wagons, passing through Great Western.
GL104, named 'Jezabeel', features "CFCLA's" 'blue, silver and yellow' livery. This locomotive was previously 44230. Last sighted 7th April 2019 stored latched to C502, Goulburn railway workshops yard sidings (at front of workshops) (NSW).
GL105, previously 44201, features "Rail First Asset Management's" 'blue, grey and yellow' livery (not pictured). Last sighted 3rd January 2025 Down Freight trailing ALF22, leading a crew car, 26 container flats and an empty flat, passing through Langi Logan.

GL111, named 'Galilee', now features "CFCL Australia's" 'blue, silver and yellow' livery with "Bowmans Rail" logos (not pictured). It is currently leased to Bowmans Rail. This locomotive was previously 44232.

"GM" Class
The "GM" Class locomotive, road numbers 1-11 (four axle motored 'F class') and 12-47 (six axle motored 'S class'), are ex-Commonweatlh Railways, now owned by various companies. The power of the 'F class' units is 1500hp and of the 'S' class units is 1800hp. More Information.
GM10 features "Southern Shorthaul Railroad's" 'black, white and yellow' livery. It is owned and operated by Southern Shorthaul Railroad. Last sighted 16th February 2025 Up light engine trailing GM22, passing through Werneth.
GM12, still in "Australian National" 'green and yellow' livery, is currently stored on its frame at North Bendigo Railway Workshops. It is now owned by Southern Shorthaul Railroad. Last sighted 13th July 2005 stored, South Dynon yard, Melbourne.
GM19 is owned by RailPower and currently stored at the Goulburn roundhouse (NSW). No decision has been made about the future of this locomotive at this stage, although it is probably unlikely it will be rebuilt.
GM22 features "Southern Shorthaul Railroad's" 'black, white and yellow' livery. It is owned and operated by Southern Shorthaul Railroad. Last sighted 16th February 2025 Up light engine leading GM10, passing through Werneth.
GM27 features "Southern Shorthaul Railroad's" 'black, silver and yellow' "CL style" livery. It is owned and operated by Southern Shorthaul Railroad. Last sighted 21st January 2022 Down Freight trailing CLP12, C501 and S311, leading 42 empty grain hoppers, passing through Tallarook.

"GWN" Class
The "GWN" Class locomotive, road numbers 001-005 are owned and operated by Magnetic Rail Group (formerly Genesee & Wyoming Australia, then briefly One Rail Australia). These narrow gauge locomotives were originally used exclusively for driver only operations on the Iron Baron/Duke/Knight/Knob - Whyalla lines for supply of iron ore to the Whyalla steelworks and export, however now since been relocated for coal operations in Queensland, Australia. "GWU" Class
The "GWU" Class locomotive, road numbers 001-015 where originally owned and operated by Genesee & Wyoming Australia (then briefly One Rail Australia). However after the sale of One Rail Australia, units 001 - 011 transferred ownership to Magnetic Rail Group, while units 012 - 015 transferred ownership to Aurizon, under a court-enforceable deal to not dilute competition in the Hunter Valley and Queensland coal haulage market. L254, named 'Enterprise NCC 1701', in "ATN" style livery. After the demise of ATN, ownership was transferred to Pacific National who later scrapped it. Last sighted 5th April 2005 stabled, South Dynon yard, Melbourne.
L270, named 'Red Dwarf', was once owned by ATN, however after the demise of ATN, ownership was transferred to Pacific National who later scrapped it. Last sighted 18th November 2006 Down Freight leading 8177, 7 Vic style & 19 NSW style grain hoppers entering Gheringhap loop, the "last 'ATN' train."
L276 lays stored at South Dynon yard, Melbourne latched behind another L class locomotive. This locomotive has since been rebuilt as LZ3120 and is owned and operated by ARG, a QR Company. Last sighted 13th July 2005 stored, South Dynon yard, Melbourne.
"LDP" Class
The "LDP" Class locomotive, road numbers 001-009 where purpose built by DownerEDi for their leasing subsidiary, Locomotive Demand Power. The power of these units is 4300hp. All the LDP class locomotives are now owned and operated by Pacific National. More Information.
