CSX Trenton Line CP Nice Philadelphia PA March 12 2011 |
An update on the CSX double stack clearance project down at CP Nice. Previous views can be seen here, here , here , here , here and here. |
CSX Q438 with SD70AC 4737 leading rolls through Laurel Hill past the former Tastykake plant where almost all evidence of the previous track layout has been removed. |
A little farther east looking west, to the left is a small remnant of one of the Budd Company sidings, all that remains of the rails that served the once bustling factory complex. |
Looking east from Wissahickon Avenue, new track is being laid. |
New signals and crossovers are being added as well. Should be interesting to see the final configuration. The new signal for CP Nice is east of the Blue Line connection, and the dump truck in the distance is on the Richmond Industrial Track. |
