1. Southern Pacific caboose #1283 on display at intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 49.
2. This replica station used for bus service is located on the CPLT row on Mosquito Rd. Across the street begins the bike path on the old row.
3. Foundation of the old depot. Replica station seen in background. Note, this lot has now been completely leveled for parking. Nothing remains.

El Dorado County Museum

The El Dorado Co Museum has quite a nice little railroad collection goin on. Most items are currently under restoration. Included on display are Camino Placerville & Lake Tahoe speeder #4 and their second caboose, Diamond & Caldor shay #4 and railbus #10 Tally Ho, Michigan-California Lumber #6, and West Side & Cherry Valley #11 Arnold Z, coach and combine. Eventually all these items will become part of the El Dorado County Historical Railroad Park under development in El Dorado,CA.

Restoration work continues at the museum with work being done to return Tally Ho to her original configuration
and alot of work done to ex WS & CV Arnold Z as well.

Smith Flat Private Collection

This is a privately owned collection in Smith Flat,CA. Not seen in the pics are piles of rail, wheelsets, trucks, and parts to some log cars that are also at this location. Locomotive is narrow guage Plymouth 8Ton DLC West Side & Cherry Valley #1. Blt 1927 s/n #2767. The caboose is ex West Side Lmbr #4:2. Also present are an ex WSL flat and ex WSL tanks #2 and #4.

Note: This collection is being sold off as of 2011. The plymouth, tank #2, caboose #4 and other misc parts will join the NCNG Museum in Nevada City,CA. Part or all of tank #4 will be going to the OERM in Perris,CA.
