El Dorado Western RR (El Dorado County Historical Railroad Park)
The El Dorado Co Historical Museum has established a railroad park based in El Dorado,CA on a section
of the old Southern Pacific Placerville Branch. They offer speeder and train rides
during their open season. Work is ongoing to maintain the line, and rehabilitate rolling stock and railroad structures within the park.
Currently the territory extends from Shingle Springs,CA depot to Missouri Flat Rd in Diamond Springs,CA.
Additionally it is hoped to dual guage the line in the future and bring over their narrow guage equipment collection from Placerville.

3. Flatcar MW1003, ex US Army #35582, was used for much of the work along the line. Currenly she has been converted to an excursion car.
