GaryM noticed several buildings with unpainted mullions and even door panels upside down, and underwent repainting. StuJ did the same for
the freight house, which really made those details pop! KentS built a backdrop for the throughway to the Baldwin Branch. TomG imstalled the
the stockpen and scenicked the interior.
StuJ's Depot eating house and sheds complete. TomG's begun scenicking near the roundhouse and has the roundhouse tracks ballasted.
StuJ is working on the eating house and sheds behind the depot. You can see StuJ's completed freight house, and TomG's repaint of the coaling tower in the middle photo. GaryM mounted new carcard holders.
TomG worked on the dirt floor of the roundhouse, and started sculpting the grounds around the turntable and coaling tower.
TomG finished laying the rails on the work car track, new garden track, and coaling tower. GaryM finshed installing new switch panels with new track layout,
ready for KentS to install toggles and LEDs.
TomG replaced the No. 4 Shinohara with a handlaid No. 6 to the turntable.
TomG laid out the new garden track to the turntable for another work car. Rails to the first new track have been laid.
TomG added the switches and roadbed for the two new tracks to the yard for the rotary train and work cars. The rails to the coaling tower were removed to be replaced.
StuJ brought out his scratchbuilt La Veta hotel backdrop.
Drilled a locating hole for the Art Deco Depot wiring. This hole was located at the west end of the removable "concrete platform" that is only used for the Monte Christo
hotel (pre-1941). Use caution for moving the 1941 Art Deco Depot.
KentS finished the benchwork on West Salida, mounting the extended surface, cutting down the fascia on the Arkansas River and replacing fascia.
TomG installed the water spout by digging out some ballast and setting the foundation down to tie level. Previously, the foundation was too high and getting snagged by
some engines.
TomG repositioned Switchstand 22 because it was getting caught by some engines on the switch next to the coaling tower. The SG engines bumped through the Turntable
transition rails which needs addressing. KentS built the framing for the scenery extension in West Salida.
StuJ brought out theis scratchbuilt La Veta hotel backdrop front that he has been working on, for a test fit.
A few more patches of ballast repair and spot track cleaning. KentS removed the fascia on West.
TomG installed the ballast board for the MOW tracks.
KentS tore off the West Salida switch panel, temporarily remounted each switch toggle so track remains fully operational. GlennG came out to layout the buildings on the south side of first street. GaryM worked on some track cleaning and ballast patching along the mainline.
GaryMe repainted the backdrop blue in the helix, laid out templates for the stock pens, tank(s), pumphouse, and depot (car body).
TomG installed switchstands throughout the mainlines and yards. GaryM continued ballast patching.
