Inside you'll notice the comfortable Lobby with pool table, comfortable seating, fireplace, a TV with live view of the passing BNSF mainline and an ATCS Monitor - Advanced Train Control Systems Monitor - telling when the next train will pass.  Also, you will find railroad artifacts and books.



On the opposite side of the Lobby is the Registration Desk, looking like a train station ticket window, a Silver Rails Counry Information Center, and on the left 24/7 coffee and a continental breakfast each morning.



The Left Hallway leads to the Inn's Rooms, in the center, the Business Center with computer and printer, and down the right wing are the four Suites.



Down the hallway toward the Suites is a large, indoor pool with authentic railroad water spout!  Doors lead to an outside pool party area with cooking grills and tables.



Just steps behind the Depot Inn and Suites are two Amtrak Express Cars - one houses the Exhibition of Amtrak History and the other a professional O-scale model train layout.



The La Plata water tower, with the bulldog mascot, is an easy landmark to look for to find the Depot Inn and Suites.



You can borrow the Inn's Golf Cart, or take a leisurely walk to the Inn's Overlook of the BNSF double-track mainline.



At the Lookout you can watch freights and Amtrak trains pass below this excllent viewing spot.



So settle in for a good night's sleep at the Depot Inn & Suites and enjoy all of Silver Rails Country.
