The Links page contains several links to photo sites. Meetings The Society hosts regular membership meetings and programs at the Vestal Public Library, 320 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, NY 13850. Meetings are generally held in the Lecture Room at that facility, on the evenings of the second Thursday of each month, September through June. Doors open at 7 pm and the program starts about 8 pm. 2008 UPCOMING CHAPTER MEETINGS Thursday, June 12, 2008 Chapter President John Goodnough will carry us to the verge of Summer with a nostalgic slide program "Lamp Oil and Old Varnish." This show will "spotlight" railroad workers, equipment, structures, stations and landmarks and bits of "lore" from over 150 years of railroading history in our region. If you're a steam era fan, you'll be impressed. If you're looking for diesel, there'll only be a "smidge" of it. View past Chapter meetings in 2008, 2007, 2006, and 2005 The SVRHS is always looking for volunteers to put on a program at one of our meetings. Programs can be anything railroad or railroad related using, for example, slides, narration, speaker informational, speaker educational, or video. The Chapter has available several media devices for use in presenting programs. Please contact us if you or someone you know would like to present a program. Exhibits Railroad signals, locomotive bell, photographs, railroad locks, telegraph appurtenances and various small railroad theme artifacts are with the railroad exhibit (see photo) at the Roberson Museum and Science Center, 30 Front Street, Binghamton, NY. Railroad photographs and various small memorabilia are at the Vestal Historical Society Museum, 328 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, NY. A few small railroad items are on loan to the Town of Chenango Museum.
