SVRHS 50th Anniversary Event March 24th, 1962 marks the date of our Charter with the National Railway Historical Society as the Susquehanna Valley Chapter. In celebration of our 50th Anniversary our Chapter will be holding a special full day of events scheduled for Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at the Brothers 2 Restaurant in Endwell, NY. Preliminary plans will include several multimedia program presentations by notable photographers and a dinner banquet in the evening with a guest speaker and program. There will also be some special short program presentations. The theme will be "All Aboard at Malfunction Junction" Railroading in the Southern Tier Region over the past 50 years As part of this celebration, the Susquehanna Valley Chapter wishes to invite current members, former members, and special guests of the Chapter. This is going to be an exciting event enjoying railroading at its best along with meeting old friends and making new ones. SVRHS needs your help retrieving past history of Chapter sponsored special events and activities. We would like to document these as photo memories in our archives for use as Chapter programs and a means to attract new members. If any current or former members of the Chapter have photos, slides, negatives, or movies of Chapter events, especially with people in them, we would like to scan and add them to our Chapter's history. All loaned material will be returned to the original owner once copied and full credit will be given to the owner.
