SVRHS 50th Anniversary Event March 24th, 1962 marks the date of our Charter with the National Railway Historical Society as the Susquehanna Valley Chapter. In celebration of our 50th Anniversary our Chapter held a special full day of events on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at the Brothers 2 Restaurant in Endwell, NY. There were several multimedia program presentations by notable photographers and a dinner banquet in the evening with a guest speaker and program. There were also some special short program presentations and a roundtable discussion. The theme was "All Aboard at Malfunction Junction" Railroading in the Southern Tier Region over the past 50 years As part of this celebration, the Susquehanna Valley Chapter invited current members, former members, and special guests of the Chapter. Both the daytime and evening events were also open to the public. This turned out to be an exciting event enjoying railroading at its best along with meeting old friends and making new ones. SVRHS solicited help in retrieving past history of Chapter sponsored special events and activities.
