Ski Resort |
The original Ski Train between Denver Union Station and Winter Park Ski Resort started in 1940 and was discontinued in 2009. Amtrak provided a special ski trains in March 2015. Finally, Amtrak officially operated weekend ski trains called "Winter Park Express" from January 7 to March 26, 2017. Amtrak also operated Winter Park Express in 2018 winter season (Jan. 5 to Mar. 25, 2018). 2019 winter season, Amtrak operates the ski train from January 4 to March 31, 2019. Winter Park Express runs Saturdays and Sundays only, plus the first two Fridays of each month (Jan. 4 and 11, Feb. 1 and 8, and March 1 and 8). Winter Park Express schedule is shown below:
