[ Chicago, IL - Fort Wayne, IN - Pittsburgh, PA - New York, NY] Broadway Limited was discontinued on September 10, 1995 |
Amtrak Garrett Indiana Station was located between Nappanee, IN and Fostoria, OH (45 miles east of Nappanee). Amtrak ended service to Garrett in September 1995 due to discontinuation of Broadway Limited. As a replacement of Broadway Limited, Amtrak began Tree Rivers service to the same B&O route, but the train did not stop at Garrett. Three Rivers was discontinued in March 2005. The ex B&O brick building was demolished in 1996. The ex B&O wooden freight depot still exists and is currently used for Railroad Museum.
