Amtrak planned to serve Arlington, TX on the Inter-American / Lone Star route in the late 1970's. However, it never happened and the station name, Arlington disappeared. Amtrak National Timetable showed the station between 1975 and 1977. The planned Arlington Station was located between Dallas, TX and Fort Worth, TX (18 miles west of Dallas, 13 miles east of Fort worth).
