As far as I know, there has been very little written or published about the CCT. But what I know of, I have placed here, if anyone has anything to add, please contact me.

Modeling Information

  • For paint, Floquil ATSF Red, Pollyscale ATSF Red, or Scalecoat II Santa Fe Red.
  • Microscale Decals CCT HO decal sheet # MC-4334 will do 2 of the following, SW1500's 1501-1504
  • Microscale Decals CCT HO decal sheet #MC-4287 lists GP7 Nos. 60, GP18's Nos. 1790 & 1795, and Caboose #24.
  • Microscale Decals CCT N decal sheet #60-4287 lists GP7 Nos. 60, GP18's Nos. 1790 & 1795, and Caboose #24. (Note: Both scale sets will do (1) Caboose and (1) of the locomotives.)
  • Custom Traxx makes markings for CCT Interurban Cars. the set is decal sheet # CN-1005. it is listed as a Sacramento Northern Decal set.

The Diesel Fleet - All of the types of Diesels used by the CCT are available in HO scale, these include:

  • HO Scale Chop Nose GP7's are not available in HO or N Scale, However click Here to see photos and a description on how to make a HO Scale chop nose GP7.
  • HO Scale 44 Tonner's are available through Bachmann as part of their Spectrum Line
  • HO Scale 70 Tonner's are available through Bachmann as part of their Spectrum Line
  • HO Scale Alco S1's, S2's, S4's, and RS1's are available through Atlas and LifeLike P2K
  • HO Scale CCT SW1500s #1502 & #1504 are available through Petersen Supply
  • HO Scale GP18's are available through Lifelike as part of the P2K series
  • HO Scale GP7's are available through Athearn and LifeLike's P2K Series
  • N Scale GE 44 & 70 Tonners Both with DCC Onboard are available in undecorated from Bachmann Spectrum
  • N Scale Alco S2's are available through Arnold
  • N Scale Alco RS1's are available through Atlas
  • N Scale EMD GP 7's are available through both Atlas and Lifelike Proto2000
  • N Scale EMD GP 18's are available through Lifelike Proto2000
  • O Scale GE 44 Tonners are available through Rich Yoder Models. These units will require painting.
  • O Scale GE 70 Tonners are available through Rich Yoder Models. These units will require painting.
  • O Scale Alco RS1's are available through Atlas. Units will require painting.

The Caboose Fleet

  • HO Scale End Cupola Caboose that can be used for CCT 24, 25, & 26 is available from Athearn or you can still find some custom runs of 24 and 25 From Petersen Supply
  • HO Scale C-30-1 that can be used for CCT 22 and both 23's is available from Walthers
  • HO Scale Bay Window C-30-5 caboose can be used for CCT 1296, is available from Athearn.
  • HO Scale End Cupola that can be used for CCT 19, 20, & 21, IS hard to find but is made by Overland Models Brass, or you can use the MDC/Roundhouse 3 window wooden caboose and kitbash it into the 19, 20 or 21
  • N Scale similar Haskell & Barker Caboose that can be used for CCT 19, 20, and 21 is available from MDC/Roundhouse
  • N Scale End Cupola Caboose that can be used for CCT 24, 25, and 26 is available from Atlas. Addtionally in N Scale, Petersen Supply did a custom run using this caboose as CCT 24 and 25. They are out of stock at this time.
  • N Scale Bay Window Caboose that can be used for CCT 1296 is available from Con-Cor

The Modern Freight Fleet

  • HO Scale 50 Flatcars for MW 5001 and 5002 are available through Athearn
  • HO Scale Hoppers for 6001 and 6002. Resin Kit models are available at Bruce's Train Shop they are Kit #SG-20
  • N Scale 50' Flatcars for MW 5001 and 5002 are available from Atlas, Micro-trains and ConCor
