CSX Lansdale Yard Lansdale PA and SEPTA Main Line Gwynedd and North Wales PA October 30 - November 4 2009 |
Part One can be found here, Part Two can be found here. |
October 30 2009 SEPTA sent BL15 51 and RL1A 61 up to Lansdale to bring down the two empty flats so the old bridge section could be loaded on them and moved back to Lansdale where it would be dismantled. |
October 31 2009 The old bridge sits on the runner. |
The new bridge waits for its call on the industrial. |
November 1 2009 SEPTA sends up BL15 50 and 51 to bring the bridge abutments to the site. |
November 2 2009 The concrete bridge abutments are in and the empty flats are back, but there is a problem down at the work site, so the new bridge waits behind the old bridge. |
November 3 2009 Some emergency cement work was in order, meanwhile SEPTA was still single tracking between Gwynedd and Dale, mostly causing problems during the rush hours. |
November 4 2009 Finally everything is squared away down at Gwynedd, and the 61/51 combo take the new bridge through North Wales to the work site. |
