Railfan Pictures of the Day - 05/02/2007
SEPTA/NS/CSX Stony Creek Branch PA Norristown PA April 12 2007 |
Part Five of a series. Part One is here, Part Two is here, Part Three is here, Part Four is here. |
CSX C746 derailed in Norristown PA on its way to Lansdale PA. |
The engines were used to shove the head end cars back to the grade crossing so the sidewinder could lift each end to enable the trucks to be adjusted. |
Several joint bars were installed to get the track back to its minimum operating parameters. |
The last derailed car would be rerailed with a portable rerailer (in the gauge) and that afternoon the train would be brought up to Hancock Street by the B738 day crew but would have to wait for the C746 night crew to bring it into the yard in Lansdale. |
