SEPTA Main Line Ambler PA April 4 2006

A dump truck takes out two tracks of wires in Ambler, causing havoc during the evening rush. Part One is here, Part Two here, Part Three here and Part Four here.

SEPTA personnel protect the crossing at Butler Pike in Ambler as an empty train pulls into the station to pick up the northbound passengers heading for Lansdale and Doylestown.
The busses dropped off the passengers on the outbound side, and many crossed over at Butler Pike.
Passengers crowd to board the train on the platform side ......
and, due to the large number of people, and after some hesitation, passengers were also boarded from the track side after immediately departing from the busses.
Meanwhile, work continued on both tracks south of Ambler well into the early morning hours, and thankfully all service was restored by the morning rush. Just another day at the office.
