SEPTA Main Line Ambler PA April 4 2006 |
A dump truck takes out two tracks of wires in Ambler. Part One is here, Part Two here, Part Three here. |
The plan for the evening rush: activate the block station just north of Gwynedd Valley to control all movements south. All inbound passenger service from Doylestown to Ambler was suspended, and all inbound trains become deadheads down to Ambler. |
Create a bus bridge between Glenside and Ambler for outbound passengers continuing north. |
While work continues south of Ambler ..... |
Passengers wait on the inbound platform as trains shuttle between Gwynedd and Amber on Track 1 before crossing over to Track 2 for North Wales and points north. |
