Membership Information
General membership in the California Southern Model Railroad Club is open to
anyone over 18 years of age with an interest in HO scale model railroading. Dues for
membership are $30.00 per month. New membership includes a probationary period where applicants are required to attend four (4) business meetings, after which a
vote by the attending membership on acceptance occurs. There are no one time initiation fees either.
Persons over 14 years of age, but not yet 18
are eligible for a junior membership provided a regular club member accepts the
responsibility of sponsorship. Junior members dues are $15 per month and have no voting
power, but are allowed and encouraged to participate in all other club functions.
Unlike many clubs, members are encouraged to
help build the railroad but there is no requirement that a member put in any
"construction time" to participate in operation. Members can work in any
area of layout construction that appeals to them as long as it is within the guidelines as
determined by the various committees. Our constitution guarnatees that a member can
be a part of any committee.
