The Western New York Railway Historical Society, WNYRHS, is striving to preserve Western New York's rich railroad heritage and history. Through the restoration and preservation of steam engine - PRR I1sa #4483, NYC 1102, BC#43, NJ#15, Two Depots, other rolling stock, cabooses from 6 major railroads, and the further development of the Heritage DiscoveRY Center as an interpretive museum to house hundreds of railway artifacts.

Thursday September 19th, 2024, 7:00pm. WNYRHS Public Meeting at the Heritage Discovery Center 100 Lee Street, Buffalo. Following a brief business meeting, the Society will present a program on the history of railroads in and around Buffalo and the Niagara Frontier over the past 175 years. "Refreshments will be available during the presentation. The public is welcome! Free parking and admission. Doors open at 6:30pm. |
| The Orchard Park Depot is thrilled to present Sentimental Journey: Watercolor Paintings by Bob Cornelius opening Friday, September 20th, 2024 During his lifetime, Bob created dozens of watercolor painting that included images of trains, cityscapes, and local landmarks. The Cornelius family has loaned us a number of these finely rendered works for our very first art show. |

On Saturday, September 28th, we will host our 4th Annual "Classic Car Show" at the Heritage DiscoveRY Center located at 100 Lee Street in Buffalo. We had over 140 show cars last year. All makes and models of cars & trucks were on display. Free Admission and No registration fee, but donations to the museum will be greatfully accepted.
