Text Box: SHUTTLETRAIN’S WANDERINGS

This time we will turn our direction north to the wonderful states of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. As usual we left our base, aka, Washington, Missouri and headed up the Road of the Saints. US 61. Once we arrived in Iowa, we made our official visit to the nearest National Park site, this time, it was the Herbert Hoover Home. We spent the night in Cedar Rapids. Then the next day, found our way to Interstate 35. We spotted another one of our famous roadside sign hawking the Old Bradford Pioneer Village, and the Little Brown Church. The pioneer village seemed to be the final resting place for most anything that the country residents wanted to get rid of. The village does have great collection of railroad memories.

Allow at least two hours to visit the village and the Little Brown Church which is right next door. After our two hour tour, we headed to our next night stop. Bloomington, Minnesota.

That’s in Part Two
