Welcome
To The Railroad Station Pages
Let’s
Begin With the Top of The Alphabet…
The Union Pacific Overland Route passes through the
city, but, passenger service is a thing of the past. The Overland Route was a big
advertising draw back in the days of steam. Union Pacific had several versions
of the Overland Crest.
Boise’s Union Station no longer hosts passengers,
but, it does host a number of private party functions.
Next, we move to Missouri and the home of the
Central Midland Railroad.
Ferguson, Missouri offers a great viewing area and
station.
Fulton, Missouri the home to the William Woods
University and the Berlin Wall along with the Churchill Memorial was a stop for
the Wabash Railway. The city of Fulton is considering buying the trackage and restoring the tracks and the railroad station.
They better hurry, as you can see in these pictures, the station is in need of
major fixer upper.
President Grant’s Hometown is the next stop on our
journey, Galena, Illinois. They also do not have passenger rail service, but
will change with the new AMTRAK route that is planned for western Illinois.
Not to be forgotten, the east coast has some fine
stations too. Here is the Hinton, West Virginia Station and it’s surroundings.
Just up the line, we pay a visit to Huntington, West
Virginia.
