One of MoPac's Mexico-built gondolas. Oddballs among the MP gondola roster, this series was delivered in black with white grabs. This example has taken on a fair amount of corrosion and oxidation since then.

This caboose suffered a mishap with a locomotive at UP's Council Bluffs yard in Sept 2007. It's seen here sitting in storage at the repair shops track.

MO&G 303 - Missouri Oklahoma & Gulf is a Baldwin 2-6-6-2 in Muskogee, probably on its delivery. The contributor's granddad is at front of engine in white shirt and overalls. On the back of the engine picture: "Doc Epperson in white shirt taken in Muskogee Oklahoma 1911 or 13 QO&KC railroad." Markings on engine and tender indicate it was #303 of MO&G.

- Herbert Frank Martin dob 12/11/1877, worked for QO&KC as a car repairer, I believe he is the fellow in this photo, and 6th back from front in above engine photo.
- Jay Bruce Martin dob 5/11/79, worked in Muskogee as a car repairer, (rr unknown).
- Claude Meredith Martin, 9/24/1880, QO&KC chief clerk of car repair to master car builder clerk MO&G to Gulf Oil co/Gypsy Oil co.
- Inez Ethel Martin 6/14/84Ê wed Carol Miller, he died in rr accident.
- Duane Pitt Martin (uncle to above), dob 9/16/55, worked for CB&O then QO&KC as a bridge forman.

Union Pacific's Missouri Pacific Heritage unit at Dexter, Missouri on May 6, 2007. The SD70AC was delivered as UP 8379 was rushed undercover (literally) to the paintshop and quickly assumed a new identity. The unit was formally unveiled on July 30, 2005 at Omaha Nebraska, along with UP 1983 (for the Western Pacific). Additional heritage units were to come over the years following this first pair.

Chicago & Eastern Illinois M of W tank at Tuscola, Illinois, Once pulled into the work equipment roster, such tanks were often used in weed spraying trains, or hauling fuel or water.

The twelve-axle/24-wheel flatcar is spotted on a siding at Atlanta, Georgia. Built in 1969, the MoP owned three of these burly haulers (#865000-0002).

MP 1917 in E. St. Louis, IL., back in Aug 1976. The two MOP geeps ( both desperatelly in need of a bath ) are headed south in the direction of the Dupo yards. This obviously would be a transfer run from the St. Louis yards to the yard at Dupo. Geep # 1917 is on the point.

TEXAS & PACIFIC RR GP7 in the colorful road's pleasing orange and black paint. Originally delivered in April 1951 as T&P 1118, she will go on to be renumbered as MP 1627 and finally to MP 627.

A General Motors PD-2903 Bus (1946 model). The Missouri Pacific Transportation Company, Saint Louis, Missouri, was a subsidiary of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, with most of its route miles paralleling the railroad. It provided extensive bus service from Saint Louis to Kansas City, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Memphis, Tennessee and to Houston, Texas, and in the Texas Rio Grande valley. It was an early member of the National Trailways Bus System, later became Midwest Bus Lines and then part of the Continental Trailways Bus System.

This brand new unit is the first GP18 built for the MoPac. She would later go on to be the first unit to wear Jenks blue and chevrons.

A year ago she was wrecked at Gorham, IL 5/17/78 . Seen here at Little Rock, Arkansas, she's a great example of a GE B-boat with an EMD replacement cab. Perhaps its also worth noting that there is a female engineer behind the throttle.
