Work continues on the locomotive. One of the latest projects involves the steam dome shroud fabrication. It was necessary to make a new template from pressed board for the sheet metal shroud. A local steel fabrication company rolled the steel plate in two halves. We then drilled holes and bolted them together. After a couple of fittings on the boiler we attached the original steel ring and did one more fitting. All seems in order so this piece will be sandblasted and painted.
