The Rochester Area S-Gaugers have been invited to show our modular layout at the semi-annual TTCS shows for more than five years. However, due to other commitments by many of our members, we only set up our small improved American Flyer Pike Master action layout. This layout was a big hit for a group of preschoolers that were at this show. This was the first Toy Train Collectors Society show at the Diplomat Banquet Center.

The American Flyer Pike Master action layout was the highlight of this first TTCS show at the Diplomat Banquet Center. Chuck Smith added ten inches to the length and an additional siding to the layout for this show.

Rick Isrealson brought his Lehigh Valley inspired engine servicing module along for static display. |
In addition to the accessories described above were a collection American Flyer action cars manufactured by the A. C. Gilbert Co. The action cars at this show were a club-owned rocket launcher car (a great crowd pleaser), a log car which dumps logs, a box car that a little man throws boxes out of, an automobile car that unloads a truck and a caboose that the conductor appears when the train stops. With the exception of the caboose, these actions happen when the car is placed over a track trip that is connected to a pushbutton operated by a guest.
On static display were Rick Isrealson's engine servicing module shown in the pictures at the left and on the Our Club webpage and a few scale and hi-rail freight cars. A laptop computer was added later that displayed the Rochester Area S-Gaugers webpages.
Jeff Faust, Rick Isrealson, Bill Johnson and Chuck Smith were present for this show.
Pictures were taken by Bill Johnson.
