The TTCS modular layout has just been refurbished. The outside S gauge loop of track had previously been damaged and it was repaired just prior to this show. This layout has been in use for twenty-five years. When it is not on exhibit it is stored in its own dedicated trailer which also serves to transport it to and from shows.

Attendance was down for this show as it was a very nice late summer weekend weather wise. However, the show was enjoyed by all who did attend.

The action cars and accessories on the layout are a big hit with our guests, as they can watch as a rocket is launched from a club-owned American Flyer rocket car (a great crowd pleaser), dump logs from an operating car into a log pond next to an operating sawmill. The sawmill then loads finished lumber into a gondola. There is a K-Line barrel loader accessory that loads barrels in a gondola and a log loader accessory that loads the logs into the operating log car.

At this show some vintage of New York Central Railroad locomotives or the offspring of that great rail icon were running on both the RASG and the TTCS layouts.
