The Rochester Area S-Gaugers have been invited to show our modular layout at the semi-annual TTCS shows for almost ten years now. For this show we set up the modular layout in its ten foot by twenty foot configuration. This was the second show held at the Diplomat Banquet Center.

There was a good turn out for the set up for the first TTCS Shamrock show at the Diplomat Banquet Center. George Cole, Don Confarotta, Roger Delthony, Duane Miner, Chuck Smith and a new RASG member, Craig Erikson were on hand for this show. All of the photos on this page were taken by Roger Delthony and Chuck Smith supplied the report on this show. The materials for this page were edited for the internet by Bill Johnson who was unable to attend this show due to illness.

We turned out a total of five members so the work load was not too onerous. Our host left us plenty of room so spectators could view the accessories from the front and the yard modules from the rear. Layout configuration was 10 x 20 feet. As usual the tots were really excited and had a good time operating accessories from new buttons we added on the front of the layout for them. We all took turns running the accessories for the little ones. We had a log loader, barrel loader, sawmill, log dump car and rocket launcher car. People seemed fascinated to see the yard switcher sorting cars into trains. Meanwhile the inner and outer trains featured continuous running so there was a lot to see.
Roger Delthony set up some excellent scenery on a pair of somewhat barren corner modules. He had a Flyer circus on one corner and on another the Gilbert Manufacturing company under construction, showing "steel" (Erector girders) going up. Spectators liked these a lot.
A variety of trains were run. There was a set of AM New Haven PAs with Budd Cars in tow, horn tooting and bell ringing. A vintage American Flyer link coupler 295 locomotive pulling three New Haven passenger cars was run for a while. Another member ran his AM GP35s with a long unit train of coal. There was a newly rebuilt DC powered can motored 21058 and it ran great. It was all-in-all a fun day.
