Railfan Pictures of the Week - 5/22/2016
Pennsylvania Northeastern Bethlehem Branch Hatfield PA April 13 2016 |
A day after PN L160 derailed, the cavalry (in the form of Terra) arrived on site. |
A pair of Sidewinders were brought in to right the equipment. |
A front loader was used to secure the derailed tank car. |
With the front loader holding the tank cars, the Sidewinders lifting and PN 8212 pulling ... |
they were able to move PN 8218 back onto the rails. |
Underneath, the rail had rolled and the rail joint did take a bit of a beating, but held. |
They would continue into the night, rerailing the tank cars and within the week, the line was back up and running. |
