Railfan Pictures of the Week - 5/15/2016
Pennsylvania Northeastern Bethlehem Branch Hatfield PA April 13 2016 |
Looking south from Bergey Road, at first glance it looked like L160 was pulling the tank cars in storage off the former southbound main, but something was odd. |
From Unionville Pike, it indeed looked like something more, and then there is the flag. |
It turned out that the day before, PN 8218 derailed, and it dug in pretty good. |
The good news was that lead locomotive PN 8212 stayed upright and on the rails ... |
and only the lead tank car of the string of empties joined 8218 on the ground, although the rail did roll underneath the second tank car. |
