SEPTA Norristown Line Miquon and Conshohocken PA September 30 2014 |
SEPTA has been doing tie work on the Norristown Line, just as they did back in 2005. SEPTA SW1200 52 and leased engine NS SW1001 2102 pull the train just north of CP River Interlocking and Miquon Station. |
A short time later, they arrive at Cherry Street in Conshohocken to pick up personnel. |
The riverfront in Conshohocken was once dominated by heavy industry, but all the sidings like the one in the foreground have been abandoned and the factories replaced by office complexes and apartment buildings. |
The last three cars of the train carried rail for grade crossing replacement, with caboose SPAX 2000 on the hind end. |
