Route 202 Montgomeryville PA May 1999 |
Happened upon this sight one day in May fourteen years ago. SEPTA was in the process of receiving its new Market-Frankford cars which were trucked down from New York, and this trucker decided to take a break near the Montgomery Mall. |
SPAX 1157 was toward the end of the order whose numbers ran from 1001 to 1220. These cars replaced the Budd-built "Almond Joys" that labored nearly 40 years. |
SEPTA received its N5 cars in much the same manner, as well as the pilot Silverliner V's. |
