SEPTA Main Line Lansdale PA August 25 2012 |
With the Lansdale Founder's Day Special on its way, a crowd of expectant railfans and others gathers at the station even while normal SEPTA operations continue as a Silverliner V train heads to Doylestown (to the right). As their contribution to the event, SEPTA brought up a Silverliner V married pair and parked it on the Bethlehem Industrial Track at the station (to the left) and opened the cars for tours throughout the day. |
Right behind the revenue train and running a little behind schedule, the special smokes it up as it enters Dale Interlocking. |
A view of the engineer's side of 5342 reveals that it has received lettering. |
GP30 2198, the leader on the Warminster Line, brings up the rear as they pull into the station. |
The first order of business at Lansdale was to shift 5342 over to the BIT and cut it off behind the Silverliner V's as part of the equipment display ... |
and then recouple the train to 2198 for the trio of excursion runs up to Souderton and back. |
