After righting the engines, Terra personnel set about rerailing the box cars while CSX track workers patched up the tracks ahead. |
It took them about an hour to get the first three cars ready, then they backed the power up ... |
and gingerly walked the cars out ... |
with the Sidewinders poised to help out on the hind end. |
Three down, five more to go. A couple hours later C746 was calling SEPTA at Elm Street ready to head back to Woodbourne Yard. |
The winner of the President's Contest, that is the name of the president who was in office when the rail where the derailment occurred rolled out of the mill, appears to be William Howard Taft, President of the United States when the rail came out of the USS Carnegie Works in Pittsburgh in 1911. |
