Railfan Pictures of the Week - 10/23/2011
SEPTA Norristown Branch Conshohocken PA June 1993 |
To complement the previous week's page, it is now June 1993 and the second year of the Railworks Project is in full swing, which means no revenue service on the Norristown Branch. Other than the occasional Conrail freight, the only things moving are SEPTA work trains. A trio of former Erie-Lackwanna U34CH's were leased to SEPTA during the project, and NJT 4152 was used in MOW service, here on a ballast train in Conshohocken. |
NJT 4152 creeps through the grade crossing at Ash Street, dropping ballast. |
Not sure if it came to SEPTA with the grafitti or it was added by the locals, but pretty sure the number board was still somewhere in North Jersey. |
