SEPTA Norristown Branch Conshohocken PA April 1993 |
The wire train has been working the Norristown Branch the past several months, so how about a flashback to 1993 when SEPTA was doing some tie work along the line. Here a revenue run passes RL1 61 hauling a ballast train at CP Creek just north of Conshohocken Station. |
The ballast cars were converted coal and covered hoppers. |
The RL1's were relatively new and had not yet received lettering on the sides. |
Here they were cruising south along Washington Street in Conshohocken. |
