SEPTA Doylestown Station Doylestown PA February 2 2011 |
On February 2 2011 SEPTA sent the wire train up to Doylestown Station to mend some problem wire at the end of the line. The ongoing work to add a new track at the station took a back seat to this and the nasty ice storm that blew through the area overnight. |
Power for the train was the genset SPAX 70 which evidently is trustworthy enough to go out alone, a far cry from its first wire train adventure. |
Wire spool car SPAX 2203 was also along for the ride .... |
as was the new tower car SPAX 2116 replacing SPAX 2204 |
On the tail end was camp car 601. Compared to the wire train of old, only 2203 remains. |
