SEPTA Main Line Lansdale Station Lansdale PA, CSX Trenton Line CP Nice and SEPTA Wayne Junction Philadelphia PA December 30 2010 |
After the failed weekend attempt to deliver to SEPTA the first production Silverliner V's, CSX decides to have another go at it, this time sending CSX B738 down from Lansdale to do the honors. |
About six hours later, B738 is pictured approaching CP Nice with two pair of CSX gondolas as spacer cars on either end and Silverliner V 703, 803 and 804 in the middle. |
B738's power cut away and pulled clear of the now hand-throw Blue Line Connection switch, enabling SEPTA RL1A 60 to roll down and couple up to the cars. B738 would continue eastward to Woodbourne Yard to pick up a train for Lansdale. |
About an hour later, 60 brings the train up the Chestnut Hill side of Wayne Junction heading for the north end of Wayne Electric shop where the cars would be shoved into the yard. |
