SEPTA Main, Neshaminy and Doylestown Lines and Stony Creek Branch July and August 2010 |
July 24 was one of the hottest days of the year, and a Saturday to boot, but SEPTA C&S was out on the Doylestown Branch at Seventh Street upgrading the crossing as the installation of cab signalling progresses along the branch. |
July 26 and North Wales Station is still bare brick and beautiful, but SEPTA promises by the end of the month it will have a new coat of paint in the shade of cream favored by the former owner, the Reading Company, circa 1900. |
July 27 and down on the Neshaminy Line, Langhorne Station is getting an upgrade courtesy of the federal stimulus package. |
July 29 and B738 heads down the Stony Creek Branch, passing over the Sumneytown Pike Bridge .... |
and returns on August 3. The bridge replacement is scheduled for early September with the branch out of service all month. |
Meanwhile work continues on the new siding between School House Road and County Line Road on the Doylestown Branch, scheduled completion early 2011. |
