ESPN Quakertown Branch Quakertown PA July 23 2009 |
An East Penn Railways high rail truck sits on the former Reading Company Bethlehem Branch southbound main at Quakertown Station while EPRY B23-7 3153 rests on the northbound main. The building in the background is the former Lehigh Valley Transit Quakertown car barn. |
The famous triple track (last picture here) has been replaced with a more pedestrian crossover. |
Everything that moves in one shot, just not moving right now as evening approaches. |
Unfortunately RS-1 57, which had been used previously on the branch, is out of service again. |
The engine had an encounter with a tank car that did not end well. Anybody know where you can pick up spare parts for an ALCo RS-1? |
