The weather changed drastically from the brilliant sunshine of the Sunday after Thanksgiving (pictures here and here) as a front brought in a blanket of fog that grew considerably thick as the day progressed. |
A late running Acela Express 2108 meets Train 43 the Pennsylvanian at 12:14. |
As Train 91 the Silver Star passes under the signals at Eddington at 12:20, the visibility continues to deteriorate. |
By the time Acela Express 2110 laps Conrail local FJ10 at 12:54, everything beyond the signal bridge has been obscured. |
Keystone Train 648 pushes through the thickening mist at 13:19 ... |
and is followed by Train 20 the Crescent at 13:33. Total elapsed time: 1 hour 19 minutes. |
