The answer to the question posed here: the last three trains were running west on Track 2. This unusual occurence was due to police activity near Holmes Interlocking, where officers and railroad personnel were on the lookout for an individual wearing an orange jumpsuit (attire usually provided to residents of the nearby Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility) on or about Track 4. As a precaution, the normal traffic on the westbound tracks (Track 3 for express and Track 4 for locals) was limited to a lone SEPTA local while the three other westbounds ran Track 2 from Grundy Interlocking near Bristol to Holmes Interlocking at Holmesburg. |
