Conrail Harrisburg Line Bridgeport Scale Track Bridgeport PA June 1995 |
Since the demise of Conrail, there have been those who have lamented the monochrome drabness that has replace it in much of the Philadelphia area. For those who have forgotten, not all of Conrail was colorful. A notable example was the fleet of scale test cars that Conrail and its predecessor railroads fashioned out of what were once revenue cars. Here are a few goodies as they were being hauled on by a Conrail GP15-1 while they calibrate the scale. For those who model Conrail and always seem to have extra parts laying around with no idea what to do with them, this is your train. |
