Ok, so these shots were taken a little bit north of Philadelphia, but it was the only time I got to take pictures of F units that were actually still working for a living. It was also an opportunity to see the Budd SPV-2000, which my father worked on when they were manufactured at the Budd Company Red Lion Plant (there is your Philadelphia connection), and get a shot of one of the Conrail units modified for use in Metro North third rail territory (yellow trimmed pilot with cut outs to avoid grounding), in this case B23-7 1991. |
